Simple Self Care Ideas

Self care.

The practice of taking action to preserve or improve one’s own health.

In times like these, please don’t forget to look after yourself.

I’ve thought of 20 simple ideas that won’t break the bank, wear you out or require maximum effort to help you take your mind off several things happening personally and globally.

In the words of High School Musical, we’re all in this together.

5 Minutes

…for just a small rest.

Make yourself a cuppa.

Listen to an upbeat song.

Step outside in the fresh air.

Write down TEN things you are grateful for.


15 Minutes

…for that extra bit of relaxing.

Have a shower.

Put on a face mask.

Call someone you love.

Start bullet journaling.

Watch some funny YouTube clips.

30 Minutes

…plan it in advance.

Do an intense workout.

Read a book.

Listen to a podcast.

Have a catnap.

Try yoga.

1 Hour

…for that relaxing day you’ve been waiting for.

Go on a hike.

Organise your wardrobe.

Watch your favourite films.

Unplug from social media.

FaceTime your friends.

Stay safe.

    Love these little ideas and adore straight forward content like this. At the moment I’m spending my days mostly relaxing in the garden, eating the food I love and taking lots of baths. Hope you’re well and staying safe.
