York: My City Guide

Hey!

Thinking about visiting my beautiful city? You’ll need this guide!

Let me know if you love my city as much as I do!

✨✨✨

Favourite Place For Coffee

…my little hideaway after lectures.

Waterstones Café.

It’s a small room at the very top of our Waterstones bookshop on Coney Street. It’s perfect for a rest after shopping and it’s a great meeting place for a catch up! We also have a massive Starbucks too, but it’s always heaving, ha!

✨✨✨

Favourite Restaurant

…I’ve mentioned this one before.

Gustoooooooo Italian.

It’s a firm family favourite and it’s great if you want to go all fancy for date night. We usually use this restaurant for special occasions now, as it is a bit pricey, especially with their dining club 40% off offer – it’s worth signing up to their dining club even if you are just visiting once…you’ll save a fortune.

Check out Josh and I’s date night at Gusto here!

✨✨✨

Favourite Shop

…we have a permanent Christmas shop!

I work in my favourite shop…yep, I got out of the garden centre! I’m now working at Paperchase and I actually LOVE my job, but my favourite shop in town? I can’t decide, waah! We have so many and the station is just a bus ride away from our Designer Outlet too! You’ll just have to visit and tell me your favourite!

✨✨✨

Favourite Bar

…this one’s a bit tricky.

York has a pub or a bar for every day of the year. Yep, we have 365 places to have a good tipple. We’ve got the typical student bars like Wetherspoons and Vodka Revolution, but we’ve also got places like TWO Slug and Lettuces and Lucias…Josh and I have also discovered that Bella Italia also does a nice Strawberry Lemonade mocktail for your non-drinkers and designated drivers out there.

✨✨✨

See you on Monday!

Lots of love

Niamh
