I’ve been blogging for just over a year and a half now, and I’ve only just discovered how to boost my blog’s traffic.
I’m going to be honest, I don’t blog for the views, retweets and all that – I blog because I want to be able to look back and remember when I went and travelled to this place or when I was able to review a product.
I’ve piled a few tips and tricks to help you boost your blog that work for me!
Plan Your Blogs A Month Ahead
I tend to write three blogs a week per month so I don’t feel too stressed about getting content out but please don’t feel pressured to write posts every week or month.
It’s your blog, do what YOU want to do.
I found this very handy spreadsheet which helps me plan my blogs!
For scheduling tweets, I use Twittimer. I used to use Crowdfire but it got very confusing to schedule and it started posting at the wrong time!
Scheduling tweets with your links are the best way to grab Twitter followers and get them looking at your blog!
Schedule Pins on Pinterest
Pinterest is a tricky one – I’m still trying to get my head around it. I have a post about creating and scheduling pins going up soon so I won’t say too much but if you don’t have an account already CREATE ONE.
So many people have discovered my natterings on Pinterest, plus you can get tons of blog post ideas if you have writer’s block!

Update Instagram Stories, Highlights & Bio Link
I use my Pinterest pins as my Instagram stories, I’m killing two birds with one stone!
Create a highlight so you can store all of your blogs there for old and new followers…
…and don’t forget to update your blog link in your bio!
