On the twelveth day of Blogmas, I give you a week’s worth of the best Winter date night ideas!
MONDAY: VISIT A CHRISTMAS MARKET
I recommend York’s but I am a bit biased, oops!
We usually have an ice trail but that isn’t arriving until early February…so, I guess, we could do an early Valentine’s Day date?
York’s market is jam-packed with independent businesses and it’s amazing.
You can do the cliche and grab a hot chocolate at Thor’s Tipi and go for a stroll, all wrapped up warm.
TUESDAY: GO SEE A FESTIVE FILM
I’m really disappointed because I can’t find the cinema ticket from this trip, hopefully, I’ll come across it soon, but for now, I’ve found the one from Johnny English 3 from our first date.
Josh and I went to see the new The Grinch.
We enjoyed it but we would recommend it for younger children as we felt it was a bit simplified.
Well, we are both in our twenties going to see a CHILDREN’S FILM…but I guess you’re never too young for an animated Christmas film.
WEDNESDAY: GO FOR A CUTE DINNER DATE
Josh had never been to Bella Italia before…I know…it’s crazy.
We’ve made a list of restaurants that we want to visit in the new year…most of them are where I get student discount, ha!
At Bella, I get 50% pizzas and pasta, so the next week we went with Will…our third wheel who we love very much!
Watch out on my blog in the New Year, we’re going to review a few places!
THURSDAY: GO SEE THE COCA-COLA TRUCK
Yep, this was featured in my traditions blog a few days back, but I’m so happy we’ve finally gone to see it.
Especially since we were both off on the same day!
Waiting out in the cold for a free can of Coke and a photo for fifteen minutes is worth it, I promise.
FRIDAY: TRY UNLIMITED BOWLING WITH A FEW GAMES OF POOL
Our Tenpin Bowling centre does unlimited bowling after 9pm for quite a reasonable price.
I’m hopeless at bowling so Josh always wins but it is good fun, I just get a TAD competitive…!
I do beat him at pool a few times though, ha!
SATURDAY: GO SEE SOME FIREWORKS (IF IT’S NOVEMBER…OBVS)
This was Josh and I’s second official date. It feels weird calling it a date, I think it’s because we’ve been best friends for two and a bit years so to us it doesn’t feel like a date!
It was good fun! There were glowsticks being handed out and hot chocolate.
We went for food beforehand and then went to an organised shindig.
It was really cheap and the display was full of life and colour!
SUNDAY: HAVE A CHILL DAY
Josh and I like to look back on old photos from when we worked together, like the above one! This was taken just after a few months of meeting each other at work!
It’s nice to look back on memories and have a good ol’ laugh until you cry day…which is practically any day with us two, we find the smallest things funny!
What do you call a train loaded with toffee?
A chew chew train!
See you tomorrow my little sprinkles!
