Favourite Autumn / Winter Films

Hello, my loves!

I hope you’re having a fabulous Tuesday!

I don’t know about you, but I really love a good film when it gets to these colder months.

I went to see the new Johnny English last week and I was crying with laughter – I highly recommend going to see it. It’s two hours where you can just forget about everything and enjoy Rowan Atkinson prance about like a fool!

Here are my recommendations for an autumnal movie night!

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

This was the film of the summer over on Netflix and I LOVE IT. No, not just because it has Noah Centineo in it…okay, maybe just a tad BUT it is a brilliant film regardless. I was instantly hooked from the first scene.

It’s a classic rom-com. Girl meets five boys, writes said boys secret love letters, *SPOILER* sister sends them, then the boy she starts to fall for again agrees to be her fake boyfriend…you get the picture.

I really LOVE Lara Jean’s style in this film, it’s the smartest – casual – comfy style ever and I want to duplicate it. Also after watching this film, you will go through so many emotions BUT you will still want your own Peter K in your life.

PUMPKIN RATING (out of 5): πŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸŽƒ

Now Bridget Jones will always have a special place in my heart because I believe she is every female’s spirit animal. Who else feels like sitting around doing absolutely nothing, snuggled in a blanket and half sobbing into a tub of a girl’s two best friends, Ben & Jerry?

Who else can relate to having two men fight over you, really dramatically in the middle of the street in London? No? Me neither, but I love the ‘fight’ scenes Colin Firth and Hugh Grant in the first two movies, they really make me chuckle.

Now, UNPOPULAR OPINION ALERT but I’m not really the biggest fan of the third installment. I was excited when it was released but was a bit disappointed when I first saw it. I felt it was just a remake of the first two with the added surprise…no spoilers, don’t worry!

Every year without fail, I must watch this film about fifty times around this time of year, and every year I still get mad at Alan Rickman for cheating on Emma Thompson…why would you do that to Nanny McPhee???

I love a good rom-com and this ticks all the boxes. It makes you feel all Christmassy as well! I won’t say too much about this film as it may be featured in a blogmas post soon, ooooooh!

(Recipe for Mama Darbs’s brownies coming soon..!)

If you are British and don’t quote Gavin and Stacey daily, what’s occurring?!

Everything about this episode just screams Christmas in Britain, I love it and is a solid favourite with my friends and family!
