Hello! I’m back…again!
I feel if I take a break from blogging for a bit after a few posts, I can focus on what I will produce next. I’ve been busy planning Blogtober and Blogmas…exciting times!
This blog will be a tad different to any others I’ve done so far. I’m talking about the one thing females like to keep private…but I feel like we need to speak more openly about. It’s a monthly thing which EVERY. SINGLE. WOMAN. will experience.
We need to talk about them.
I received a box from the period subscription company Pink Parcel! It was all of their holiday essentials edit. I loved it.
We all have the tell-tale signs just before we start but honestly, I wish I received it every month because it preps you for that day you get the dreaded visit and you feel relaxed. I get really moody and stressed before my time but this box came literally a day before I started…how amazing is that?! Talk about good timing.
The box comes with four boxes, usually, there is a bag which says ‘FOR NOW’ but due to the popular demand of the boxes last month, they ran out!
Three of this month’s boxes included pads for the expected length of the period – plus panty liners for the days running up and days after. Personally, I think this is the best idea for females. It really reassures you – especially with the little gift box you get.
In the ‘FOR YOU’ box, it was goodies galore. I was really excited about using the Laritzy dew pot, it looked amazing. I was given the shade ‘GLORY’, which is a bronzed colour – I’ve been using it on my eyes and cheekbones for those days where I couldn’t be bothered with faffing on. This pot does have a price tag of £20 and I bet it’s worth every penny.
Another product I was curious about using was the Spacemasks self-heating eye mask. I’d never used one before and unfortunately I won’t be using one again – it felt a bit weird and I didn’t relax, to be honest. I followed the instructions and as promised it did heat up straight away but after a couple of minutes, I felt like it was causing my eyes to water and it really wasn’t pleasant. However, considering the prices of facemasks these days they are pretty affordable – £15 for 5, so £3 each.
The “pocket” perfume from English Laundry smells really good! It’s the perfect size to pop in your bag for school or university and spritz on when you fancy – again, it’s really affordable too!
The clear face cream and beauty balm are also the perfect size to take with you on your travels. The cream controls breakouts on your t – zone and works a treat, especially on the go, same goes for the beauty balm – the serum makes your nails and face glow so much!
Finally…the caffeine and sugar products! I don’t drink coffee but the coffee bag seems like a really cool idea for makeshift Chrimbo presents or hotel room treats! (I can’t seem to find a link for these but I will update when I can!). The Candy Kittens Eton Mess sweets were really yummy and the perfect companions to a cup of hot Winter Spice Ribena!
PERIOD TALK. DONE.
