Hello! I’m back after a little break!

You may have noticed a new option on my menu in the past week…this blog will be the start of many in my new edit: #THECRUELTYFREEEDIT!

Every Tuesday I will be posting a new edit on a product from a brand that stands by being cruelty-free – hope you all enjoy this idea!

To start this edit, this week’s entry will be a chilled out post as it’s all about winding down after a long day at work or university – so grab a cuppa, some biscuits and relax!

I’ve talked about using Garnier’s Micellar Water before and I still stand by how great it is. You literally only need four or five cotton pads and next to no micellar water. It’s really gentle on your skin too – leaving it feeling refreshed!

I like to pop a face mask on when I’m having a really bad time with my skin – due to the heat my skin has been dreadful, waah! This one from Garnier works a treat! It’s the Pure Charcoal Tissue Mask.

I really like it as it’s a sheet mask so it stays put when you place it on your face and it feels really soft as, like it says on the tin, it’s tissue. Some sheet mask you use can feel a tad stiff when they are on your face – however, this mask works throughout the week, even after you’ve taken it off!

Both of these Garnier products are fairly cheap as well – really worth the money too!

Now, I haven’t actually used a Lush skincare product before, shock horror – I know! HOWEVER…I was bought their Ocean Salt Face and Body ScrubΒ by a friend and I’ve been so excited to use it!

I hosted a Twitter chat on Sunday and literally, EVERYONE who joined me was raving about Lush’s skincare products, so a trip is definitely on the cards – see you in a few weeks guys!

Here we go…THE VERDICT!

I absolutely love it!

I might actually switch to this product and ditch my Boots products, mainly because this scrub moisturizes as well! It smells AM-AZ-ING too! I can’t tell you how great my skin feels – and that’s just from ONE use!

One thing I found a bit weird about this scrub, I think because I haven’t used any product like this before, was the texture and the way I could taste the salt from the product afterward, ew – but all in all, it will be purchased again!

I will still use my Boots products when I go on holiday or visiting family as they are a handy size to do that with.

Now, growing up with big front gnashers hasn’t been easy – especially brushing them as they didn’t seem to whiten like the others. I think there was one time for a week where they actually whitened a tad but then dulled again, eugH. Typical.

This Oral B Genius 9000 toothbrush came with the Fabulous Beauty Awards Box I received! It uses Bluetooth to connect to the app on your phone and tells you how well you brush your teeth and what you should be doing to improve!

One thing I did find a bit strange was it didn’t come with a plug adaptor – I don’t have a shaver plug socket in my bathroom so I did have to buy my own plug so I could charge the device. Considering the price of this toothbrush, I would’ve thought there would be a plug adaptor included.

Same! I bought the biggest sized bottle because Boots had them on offer! The masks seem to be going for fairly cheap as well! Glad you enjoyed, thank you! X

I used to LOVE Garnier Micellar water… still do, I just found a brand I love called Pacifica Beauty and I support them as often as possible (vegan & cruelty-free).

I also love LUSH and have seen that Ocean Salt scrub a few times in passing but never picked it up… maybe it’s time that I do!!!

Niamh I’m all about the cruelty free! I only use vegan and cruelty free products (which can be a bit constricting!) Well done you and if you’d like some products to try ask me! I’d be happy to recommend anything from my vast collection!

No worries! It really is better than make up wipes! I recommend buying the travel sized bottle just to test in out and then going to the bigger sizes! 😌

I had no idea Garnier were cruelty free. I used to be obsessed with a fresh mask from Lush years ago but I haven’t tried much other skincare from them. I love the idea behind this series x
